LACAVA's Woodwork
All of our woodwork is made of 100% natural wood from renewable forests (see more on LACAVA "green" initiative). Differences in color, grain, appearance and texture are inherent in all natural woodwork, and should be expected. Variances in these qualities are not deemed manufacturing defects, and will not be accepted as valid reasons to return or exchange any LACAVA wood bathroom furnishings. Wood samples provided by LACAVA are intended to represent the average appearance of each wood finish, and should not be viewed as exact representations of every individual piece of woodwork.

Natural woods gradually change color over time depending on the initial wood color and element exposure. It's a natural aging process and should be expected. Generally, dark woods become
lighter, light woods become darker, and direct sunlight will have a bleaching effect on any wood, as the UV light waves break down the chemical bonds of elements.
There is no one color-change definition that fits all woods species equally though; for example, natural cherry wood starts with light yellow, orange, and pink hues and over time becomes reddish and brown when exposed to natural light. Bamboo also darkens over time, while natural walnut starts with darker hues and becomes lighter with time. If the color change inherent to natural woods is not desired, stained woods offer a better color stability; nonetheless, stained colors will also change over long periods of time depending on the element and light exposure.
Furniture pieces intended to be installed in the same room, especially when adjacent to one another, should be ordered at the same time to be produced in the same batch. This will ensure close match of patterns, wood grain, and color hues. Furniture pieces coming from different batches might have slight variances in color hues and different wood grain patterns. This is normal manufacturing process and should be taken into consideration when ordering wood furniture.
